About Us
The Heritage Trail Team was a part of Darien’s Bicentennial Committee and received valuable input from the Museum of Darien’s Historian Ken Reiss as well as the town’s Monuments and Ceremonies Commission. The Darien Foundation was a key collaborator on the project that finds itself at an intersection of history and community. This 200th birthday gift to Darien provides an opportunity for town residents, visitors and students of history young and old to ‘Tour the Trail’ both in person and virtually.
The Darien Heritage Trail logo was inspired by the three arches of the iconic Rings End Bridge as the trail tells the stories of the past, bringing them to life in the present and shedding light on the future as it unfolds in Darien.
The Darien Heritage Trail is a joint project between the 2020
Bicentennial Committee and The Darien Foundation.
