As part of a new “Bringing Home History” project, the Darien Historical Society is bringing its historical treasures to your home with new a new Virtual Tour series “Our Favorite Things,” and we’re asking for your stories, too. If you have photos, videos, drawings or artifacts that illustrate daily life during the Covid 19 crisis, please email them to info@darienhistorical.org. We’ll share these items intermittently, and eventually store them in the Museum’s digital archive, so that future historians can understand our lives today. In the next episode of “Our Favorite Things” Executive Director Maggie McIntire talks about the Scofield Inn sign and two samplers from the early 19th century.
