Annual Meeting and Lecture on Greens Ledge Lighthouse

October 27, 2024 .   3pm to 5pm

This lecture will take place at First Congregational Church, followed by a reception at the Museum of Darien for a private view of our costume exhibit: Darien Dresses Up: 100 Years of Style! Speaker: Tim Pettee, President of The Greens Ledge Light Preservation Society, will discuss the incredible story of saving one of our area’s most important sea landmarks, and the history of New England Lighthouses with a focus on Sparkplug lighthouses. Bring your blanket and enjoy apple cider and donuts as we hear stories to 'chill you to the bone' by our talented Darien Library educators. Recommended for children 6 years and older.
