We are pleased to announce new Assistant Director, Emily Koch!

Emily will provide support in operations and management, marketing and communications, and volunteer oversight. She has experience at the Royal Academy of Arts in London as Manager of Patrons and holds a Masters in Art Business at Sotheby’s Institute of Art. She also has significant experience with fundraising, leadership and management skills that has included positions at the Bowman Sculpture Gallery, The Victoria and Albert Museum and Sotheby’s Auction House in London, in addition to the Frist Center for the Visual Arts in Nashville.

We are happy to say that the Doors of Darien Party Fundraiser was a great success! The lively and well-attended evening featured many impressive artwork submissions from all ages in the community, in addition to beautiful works by local artist Kate Muir that included her incredible Great Island piece. Attendees also enjoyed fabulous food from Carolyn's Absolutely Fabulous Events and tunes from Scott Lebish and Butch Taylor. Many many thanks to everyone in the community that helped make this night a success, including our generous sponsors Ring's End and BevMax Norwalk "The Wine and Liquor Superstores" and all of our volunteers, including our teen interns! #Darien #history #museum

View stunning artwork of Darien doors from local artist Kate Muir and from the community, with all artwork for sale to benefit the Museum.

Come join us in the beautiful Scofield Barn for a memorable summer evening celebrating our history, this Saturday, June 3rd. Tickets ($75) are available at museumofdarien.org. This event is generously sponsored by Ring's End and BevMax Norwalk "The Wine and Liquor Superstores".

"Doors open, doors close. With every door, there is a story. Those stories become our history."

You can still drop off a painting submission for the Doors of Darien Party Fundraiser until Tuesday, May 30th - please join the fun and enter your door painting to support the Museum! You can still pick up art supplies to create your painting ($20) at the Museum until 4pm today, Thursday, or use your own 8 X 10 canvas.
Don't forget to buy tickets to this fun fundraising party taking place on June 3rd at museumofdarien.org. Guests will enjoy catering by Carolyn's Absolutely Fabulous Events and fab music by Butch Taylor and Scott Lebish. Tickets are $75. Many thanks to our event sponsors Ring's End and BevMax!

Create a painting of your favorite Darien door with one of our art kits and it will be displayed for sale at our fundraising party on June 3rd! Submissions are due May 24. (Prizes will be awarded for those 17 & under on June 2 at a Kids' Award Night!) Art kits ($20, 6 for $100) are available for pickup until 6 today (Monday) and Tues-Weds, 11am-4pm.
