Join us as we kick off the celebration of America’s 250th anniversary with an intimate evening cabaret blending jazz, storytelling, and patriotic reflection enriched by a display of historic flags from the museum’s collection.
Light bites and drinks will be served in our Kenneth M. Reiss Library followed by a spectacular cabaret concert featuring jazz vocalist Christi Bye. The evening concludes with desserts and guided tours of the homestead. Do not miss this special event which is sure to sell out.
Christi Bye hails from Kansas City where she grew up performing in musical theater, concert venues and church. Christi earned her bachelor’s degree from Belmont University in Nashville, including a one-year vocal study at Gnesins Academy of Music in Moscow, Russia. She has perused singing, choral conducting and directing roles in jazz, classical and musical theater settings for 30+ years. Christi and her family are delighted to be newcomers in town.
