April Book Club:

DARIEN, 1820 – NEW TOWN, NEW TIMES

BY MoD’S HISTORIAN KEN REISS

Darien Library and Museum of Darien invite you to delve into the town’s past and discover how Darien gained its independence from Stamford in 1820! The town’s official Bicentennial events have been rescheduled to this year (2020 – 1 More Time!), so it is the perfect time to celebrate the town’s history.

Based on extensive research by MoD’s Historian Ken Reiss, this commemorative book and the accompanying exhibition at MoD, investigates the forces blocking the town’s path to independence and the hero who persisted with the effort and gave the town its name.

Thursday, April 8 at 7 pm – MoD’s Group Book Discussion — Just two spots left…call us at 203.655.9233 to join the discussion.

Thursday, April 15 at 7 PM — A Q&A with MoD Historian Ken Reiss, co-sponsored by Darien Library. Register for this live virtual event at the Darien Library.
