Be sure and visit the Whaleboat Middlesex during the Summer of 2021!
The boat will be featured in this year’s Memorial Day Parade, and at Weed Beach Festive Nights Bicentennial Bash on June 4 from 6 to 8 pm. We’ll be handing out tricorn hats and there will be plenty of opportunities for family photos!
A special thank you to The Darien Foundation for its generous $14,000 grant to support the refurbishment of this hands-on artifact and its help to spread the word about this project, and to Hollow Tree Self Storage for donating space to store the boat!
And a shout out to all our ports of call for the Summer of 2020: Hollow Tree Self Storage, Pear Tree Point Beach, Ring’s End, Palmer’s Market, The Darien Sports Shop, Darien Library and The Waters Edge at Giovanni’s. THANK YOU, MATES!
